Meet Jason Cauchi – The Genius behind the Dallin Chase line

You would never guess by looking at some of his pieces that the genius behind the Dallin Chase line is only 26 years old and has only been around a short while. Extremely ambitious with two seasons behind him, his clothes are becoming a remarkably coveted line for women that want versatility and femininity. The inspiration behind Dallin Chase came from the names of two of his children, and his line is currently being showcased in his own SoHo showroom. You have to be pretty self-actualized to handle a family of three children and launch your own clothing line, and this self-assuredness is evident in his work. Jason Cauchi`s line embodies the strong woman who isn’t afraid to feel comfortable but look beautiful and feminine at the same time. It gives glamour and sex appeal all new meaning, but is comprised of fabrics that may just be the most comfortable things your body will touch. In his Fall 2007 line you are going to see buttery soft fabrics such as plaid flannels, jersey materials with the “old sweatshirt” feel to them, and a host of sueded silk. The line almost entirely encompasses dresses that appear both timeless and beautiful. You will see some masculine touches as he incorporates tweeds, but this will be combined with bubble sleeves and stiff netting. Jason Cauchi`s line embodies a cool downtown air, with the softness of comfort for everyday wear.

Jason Cauchi – Dallin Chase line
On the Dallin Chase Website one can read about Jason Cauchi:

Jason Cauchi’s new line gives the concept of effortless dressing a refreshing spin. “I really wanted to create a collection that would take classic design elements and mix them with unexpected details that are approachable and desirable.” He describes Dallin Chase as a mix of urban and country. “I love the idea of humble ingredients like a cotton chambray, finished with something that is contrasting, such as a very sharp, glossy trim.”

A dress-only line for now, Dallin Chase fuses a carefree, playful aspect with surprising details such as sporty mesh lining on a jersey bubble. “Most importantly, the dresses are wearable and easy,” he says. “I want her to wear them often. It’s not about day to evening, it’s about creating the perfect dress, period.”
